Escape of words

Words escape clumsily, sometimes drifting away from deep thought, from the initial feeling. What differentiates us from animals is that we can employ words. Yet misunderstanding is so human. So often charm is born precisely in silence, a mute magic. Falling in love, being surprised, dreaming, hoping, remembering, suffering. That moment not to be lost, where one abandons oneself to an intense and inexplicable sensation. As if they were instants suspended in air, like souls, like petals, like fireflies. Before heart-rending beauty, no one speaks. Everything stops, time, things. Everything remains suspended.

To describe is a task. To interpret is to create.

We talk so much today, too much, about absolutely everything. Tongues that move generating sounds listened to only by those who emit them. No one listens to anyone anymore. Surreal dialogues, shrill voices, studied tones, stock phrases, accelerated listening, postponed confrontation. We slip on the smooth surface, without surprise, without difference, without colour. A fog of words, an indefinite clamour.

Flight.

Simply turning one's gaze upward is enough to calm the buzz, as if an invisible window opened toward fantasy, dream, one's own thought. An imaginary bubble takes shape, like a light sphere, that floats, that invites us to take a journey with the mind. There are those who close their eyes and breathe deeply as if they were atop a mountain. There are those who keep their eyes open and feel as if drawn beyond the clouds.

Words become letters, letters that mix together losing all meaning, becoming the secret alphabet of the dreamer.
